Hello Folks,
I am leveling an elemental shaman right now, and I can not find any gear at low levels that support the build. Ok so that may be a bit over the top, it isn't that I can not find ANY gear, however, there is just not a lot of it. I thought I would take on leather working to make myself my own gear, but, almost none of the recipes support a caster type.

Any Suggestions on what I should do? Is it best to simply wear cloth?

Until you hit Outland wear whatever you can that has good stats for you.

Outland will start to have god caster Mail, even then still don't matter. Will have even more caster Mail options in NR but again, it doesn't matter.

Start to seriously get into all Mail gear when you get into Cata content. As then you are pushing end game so actually want to take advantage of Mail Spec until then you go through gear fast enough for it to not matter.

Horse, you should join me and Maz posting here in the Shaman forumz moar. Druid invasion!

Caster gear is fairly rare at low levels for leather and mail. Your best bet is to go with cloth when it's an upgrade in stats. The nice thing about Ele Shamans and Balance Druids is that you get hit from spirit at a time when hit is in short supply and a lot of gear has spirit.

Yeah, I actually did a bit of searching and found that you can get a good bit of gear as instance quest rewards. I mean nothing compared to going Enhancement Shaman or Feral Druid.

Also, please do invade the Shaman forums, it is so dead in here...

My brother has been leveling an Elemental Shaman from 0-60ish, and he's found a decent amount of gear from instances...be sure to pick up the instance quests as you go, they're pretty handy.
