yes. If you have xp pro, the security features may not allow Everquest to run. THe graphics card model is also important because depending on the model, it may or may not run everquest correctly. Seeing as it is some form of 128mb card, its more likely that it is a directx or driver issue, but if you don't provide the information I have no way of knowing.

i guess this problem cant be fixed then, too bad i wanted to play some eq

Of course it can be fixed. It's just a matter of having the correct configuration. Don't you know a geek at work? That's usually the fastest and easiest way to get things like this straightened out. Just ask him if you do, most of us geeks will dive right in on a problem like this.

Update all your drivers.

If that doesn't help, try reinstalling EQ.

Both of the above are common solutions when som, ething just quits working. You could just need the latest drivers due to a recent patch. Or perhaps you have some corrupted files.

Or there are tons of other things it could be. Which is why I said you need a local geek.

you never did answer my question about whether you ran http://housecall.trendmicro.com. You either have a virus, or a corrupted directx installation. I'd really like to eleminate virus as a possibility before messing around with directx.
