red and grainy videoFollow

i just did a reinstallation of win2k and reinstalled everquest when i get passed the patch screen everything there after is red and grainy. It's so grainy that it is impossible to read the text. i have tried logging in several times on ocassion the screens would be clear up until the character selection screen. i have loaded the latest drivers and have directx 9 installed. Im using a geforce 4 ti4200 video card. I've tried everything i can think of, if anyone knows what the problem might be your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
