Help with graphics cardFollow

Hi, I am a complette computer newb so please bear with me.

I am running a AMD Duron 900Mhz processor with 256mb or RAM, i don't have a graphics card (one that came with the computer but it is only 8mb or something like that).

I really want to get FFXI but i am on dial-up and don't have a graphics card. I was thinking of getting the ATI Radeon 9600 pro card which will be about £90 ($150). I as this the best option for me? I don't have a huge budget and that is the most i would like to spend.

Is it possible for me to get FFXI on dial-up and with these specs?
