help setting up connect to university serverFollow

I just got to school and I can't seem to get my PS2 to connect with the school internet service. I live in the dorms and I was wondering if anyone could help me or someone that has had the same problem that figured it out. All I had to do with my X-Box is put the MAC address of my computer in the X-Box.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
