Does anyone have anymore information about the FFXI-4001 error? I know alot of people have had router problems and such, but at college I have no control over the school's network. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, or should I just keep disconnecting every time I play?

Whoops, I guess I should post exactly what's happening for those who haven't seen the error. Randomly, anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes into playing, my packets recieved will drop to 0. My packets sent will stay around 75 or so, and then Ill slowly drop to 0% and timeout. I can always log right back in, but this is very annoying. Other programs run fine when this occurs. I have tried shutting everything down in the background, removing service pack 2, removing spyware, etc, and nothing has worked. If anyone has any suggestions, all help is appreciated at this point. Thanks.
It's on your college computer network's end. they are probably deliberatly breaking connections that go on longer than a set time, thinking they are **** downloads or something. I'd go talk to them and ask them to fix it.

Contacted the school, they tried to make it so that it would allow me to play, and after everything, it still disconnects....anyone else have any solutions?

Well, I found out that this problem also occurs with other games, so the problem can't be isolated to just FFXI....stupid college....
