POL Connection ProblemFollow

#1 Sep 30 2004 at 2:25 PM Rating: Decent
For four days now, whenever I logged into PlayOnline, the "Now Loading" symbol would come up for five minutes, but the main menu would never show up. After the five minutes, I'd get a "Communication Content Error" message mentioning something about Network Settings. I figured maybe it was my Cable Modem, but then again..I was able to sign online, and play other online games, so I just trashed that theory. Then I tried re-installing POL, but still, nothing. Why is it doing this?

Yeah, I have optimum online. I checked the other thread regarding this same problem, and saw the posts about OO not allowing to connect and stuff. I do have Windows XP, and SP2 IS installed. But I never had problems with POL before, and Windows hasn't updated in quite a while. This problem started on Monday of this week.

Message about OO:

Talking to Maotut he said that SE is working with OO and their network operations center and their engineers there on resolving the issue as we speak, they are tracing the packets, etc, and doing everything they can to get the issue resolved.

All servers are up, and there is over 80,000 people online at the moment, but the issue seems to isolated to those people in the North Eastern US using OO.

Great, wonderful. -_-. And after seeing all those commercials regarding OO, in which they claim to be the best...I feel so wronged. ;_;
