Random computer shutdown and freezesFollow

#1 Dec 12 2004 at 10:28 PM Rating: Decent
My computer is being such a pain in the **** lately, I mean the way its acting is making no sense what so ever (to me at least). I use a laptop, and I thought that it shutdown due to overheating, but I bought a cooling platform for it, and it is indeed much cooler, but it is still shutting down. Last weekend end i was playing for like 8 hours straight and it didn't shutdown once, and this weekend it kept shutting down every 20 minutes. Every time it shuts down, i feel all over my laptop and it isn't even coming close to overheating, and it will randomly freeze at any given moment, I can't find any logic to this and I have no idea what to do.

I have a:
HP Pavillion zd7000 notebook
3.02ghz procesor, pentium 4, with hyper threading
512 mb of ram
20 gig of harddrive space left
microsift xp pro with SP2(had this problem even before SP2)
Directx 9.0 as well
NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600 128mb

Any advice is appreciated and could you please leave the way on how to do something since I don't know how to do alot of things.
Thank You for all your time and effort.

Hmm I will try and post again and see if it shows this time.
Ugh I can't get this message to post >_<
