I have two sticks of 512mb ram installed on my PC. I only have two ram slots in it. I was planning on getting a 1 GB stick of ram and going with just 1512mb instead of 1024mb. Now my question is, would it that extra 512mb of memory make that much of a difference in performance or would it just stay practically the same? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

It will make a difference, depending on what you're doing. Games and other high end applications will use the extra ram. I've got 2gb ram and can tell the difference as opposed to using 1gb of ram.
