Windows XP Home vs. Professional?
What's the difference between the two? Really?
If both have "service Pack 2" or whatever it's called, what is the basic difference between them?

About 100 bucks. Seriously, from what I've read, yes, this is all second hand knowledge, Pro is much more secure & stable than Home. Also supposedly better for networking.

The difference depends on what u do with XP Pro of course is superior in all aspects however if ure an average joe user then Home is fine for you. Its all about the money though.

Windows XP Home is really Windows XP Professional with features removed.

Some of the features removed from XP Home are:
-Remote Desktop (you can still use Remote Desktop Client)
-File Security
-Windows Domain Membership
-Multi-processor support (except it still supports hyper-threading since that still counts as 1 physical processor)
