Macromedia flash blocker for FirefoxFollow

#1 Jan 15 2005 at 7:14 PM Rating: Decent
I'm using Firefox 1.0 and looking for a way to turn off Macromedia Flash on demand. Some of those ads are incredibly annoying. Especially when they include sound with no way to turn them off.

Anyone know of a program or Firefox addon I can use? Even if it's run off my comp instead of in the browser that'd be fine.

You can carefully customize your firewall and it'll block most ads, flash or normal

There is one! I hunted it down the other day and I am blissfully happy. ^^ The nice thing is it lets you play a flash if it's one you are interested in without having to turn of the blocker.

Take a look at the Known Problems page first just in case something pertains to your setup.
