Im having DVD problems so I want to try and turn off my video card.
(Without removing it from the motherboard)

Is there any way , within windows , to turn off the video card so my computer doesnt think its there. Maybe it wouild switch back to the integrated chipset?

and when I am ready to play a game, etc. Simply turn the card back on?

Thanks

If you know what video card you have try downloading drivers from the manufacturer's website and once they are installed you'll probably be able to find your device and follow the instructions above.

Sounds more like your problem is that your vid card isn't loaded at all. Find your drivers, install them, and most likely your problem will go away.
