Sound Issues With FFXI and POLFollow

#1 Feb 05 2005 at 1:04 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, I loggd in this morning on my RDM on Seraph at Valkrum and in my headphones then it sounds likewhen you start up your car in the garage :/(coulden't fint a better refrence). Also I noticed at the title Screen for FFXI where you select your character i can't hear the the clicking of when you move your curser over somthing like slect character i can hear title music load and clear except for a lttle noise in backround.

I checked my other character and i hear that same noise except i can hear selbina music with it. I Also nocticed on POL then its not making clicking noises either and iff it does it has delay from when i click to when i hear the sound. And my POL>FFXi title screen had about a 30second lag.

I have Played for over year and this is the first time i have gotten a problem like this help me.

PS: The other spounds on my Computer are running fine

PPS: I have fraps running

Thanks in advance

Strangly enough, just today (the 5th) I started having this exact same problem, associated with some progessive lag (ie. when I start FF everything is fine, but quickly becomes terrible). I know that nothing has changed, since I had left FF running to bazzar some things. When I came back everything was fine, although a little laggy (which is normal, at least for me). So I restarted and this started happening. I know nothing was changed system config wise. Anyone else having this issue? Also, I dont know if this is related, but after that restart, I got a windows registry recovery message saying that my registry had become corrupted, but had been sucessfully restored. It seems like most of my registry settings were lost. You had any registry problems too?

EDIT: spelling, as always ^^
