Actually nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks for attempting to put the time to help, though.
Hey, I'm having some problems with my PS2, specifically FFXI and the HDD that I hope you guys can help out with.
Well, this started earlier in the week when I dropped the PS2 from my dresser to the ground after snagging the power line (dumb, I know). Anyway, it worked ok after but it wouldn't detect my HDD or my network adapter. So I went today and took my friend's PS2, switched, and now I have his with my HDD and network adapter inside. It detects the HDD and I installed the network adapter. However, when I go to the browser and click on the HDD and try accessing PlayOnline Viewer, the screen darkens as if it's loading, flickers at 3 random intervals, and goes back to the browser screen with the HDD and my memory card icon. Everytime I try to load Viewer this happens. I've tried reinstalling PlayOnline Viewer, but I get some hardware error message when I try connecting to the Internet. I don't know whether something happened to my HDD because of the accidental as well or what. Should I try deleting everything that was in the HDD ('Your Saves', 'PlayOnline Viewer', etc?) and then try reinstalling so maybe it'll work, or were those always on the HDD even before installing? I really don't want to buy an entirely new HDD, so I hope someone has a suggestion or answer to this problem.
