I have an old computer I used to play EQ on back before DirectX9 becane required. I couldn't find a driver for the computer so I haven't been using it. A few days ago I found a driver, downloaded and installed it. But after running the patcher, I get an error message that says eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
The system specs are:
Intel Celeron 1200MHz 1.20 GHz, 128 MB of RAM, running Windows XP.

That's a sort of general purpose windows error message, it really could be anything. I would suspect the video driver first, but only microsoft can help you figure out what's really gone wrong there.
Keep hunting for drivers, and maybe try to sneak in some more memory.
