question on directx9.0cFollow

I hope to the wonderful Chaos Gods that you are not using windows 95 or 98. Because I managed to download 9.0b onto my Win98 computer a long time ago before Microsoft stated that it was impossible to install on those systems and older and I had an insanely hard time getting rid of it. You CANNOT remove it like you can with Windows updates or programs. It is a system component which you can't remove without getting your hands messy in registry and ancient DirectX files and drivers. If you are on XP, your best bet would be to use System Restore and restore back to a really old time assuming you haven't installed much since then and don't mind to "lose it". Pray that you can Restore back and everything will be normal again and that you will be able to install DirectX via the link provided. If anything, you can always do a reinstall.
