I've got like 80 days of game play into FFXI. Then all of a sudden my PS2 thinks there's no hard drive in it. My ps2 works fine. I can play other games on it and watch DVD's no problem.
I tried everything to make the ps2 register that godforsaken hard drive. I took it out, and reconnected it. It's in there tight, nothing seems broken. I put in the HDD repair CD, but it still says that I must first install the HDD. It thinks that I don't have a hard drive.
I hope I don't have to go spend another $100 dollars on a new HDD. If no one knows how to fix this HD, does anyone at least know if SE fixes them, or if some one some where replaces them at a discount or free if they aren't functioning properly. There's even a small small chance I may have a receipt for my copy of FFXI and HDD.
Please please please... Any sort of solution, or at least direction is much appreciated.
