Okay so heres the deal, I recently copied the FFXI and PlayOnline files from my statoinary to my laptop, at first I got an error message, something about install paths but a quick registry editing fixed this.

Then I've started getting this "Class not registered" error, I haven't got a clue on what to do, Reinstalling kinda isn't an option since my laptop doesn't have a dvd drive >_0

Any help appreciated

Oh and by the way, specs is not the problem, I'm running WinXP SP2.

I am not sure about the reason, but chances are high that the problem is with your registery.

Every program modifies your registery once you install them, and moving it from one PC to another PC won't carry the Registery modifications along. And adding them manually is almost impossible, can even make your computer crash.

One thing i can recommend, you can connect your two PC's, take the image of game DVD, send the image to other PC, extract the image, emulate the DVD drive with a program, and install it.

I am not sure if it is going to work, but you can google it, i know people done this alot before.

Or you may want to buy an external DVD player, which is pretty cheap lately.
