I am expeirencing some Issues with my Dial-up conection on my Notebook. I usually Connect at 50.6K or higher, I get in game and my ping bar is constantly going under 100%. It will drop all the way down to around86-84% , Somtime lower before shooting back up to 100%. This will continue for my whole session, causing my to freeze for up to about 45 seconds.
My question or questions are, Do I have a serious lag spike, or is there a simple fix for this? If so what could I do to fix this?
Here are my Notebook Specs.
IBM T40
Pentium M 1.5GHZ
32MB ATI Mobility Video card
1gb DDR ram
40Gb Harddrive
Win XP pro w/ Service pack 2
NO Anti-virus

For starters get some sort of antivirus, Adaware, and Spybot S&D and see if that helps.
Usually when things like this come about unexpectedly and slowly get worse, it's adware.

The reason I don't have Anti virus is becasue I only use this notebook for EQ NOTHING else. I know it is not Spyware. This is a fresh install of XP PRO and EQ.
The cord could be loose. Try to cause it to happen intentionally, maybe nudge it one way or the other in the jack or replace the cord altogether.
Tried That I am going to Try to disable some IBM Security software hoping that might work. I hope that will Do it.
