Lousy connection to server.

This post is for FFXI. As of late since the last patch I've had a lousy connection to my server. I get a lot of lag my R goes to 0 a lot and I almost disconnect. I called my ISP they said my connection is fine I even traded in my old cable modem for a newer model. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this probelm lately. My friend down the street has the same service but he doesn't experience these problems and we both use routers btw. I haven't had a problem until this month after the update.

YES! Since around the last maintenance I have been d/cing like crazy. It seems like it happens in bursts. Like I'll d/c 10 times in 1/2 hr then I wont d/c for a while. I dont recall changing any settings or anything.... I have SBC DSL using a router and haven't moved anything, etc. Not sure what's wrong....

Edit: Also, forgot to mention; I play with windower and it's not just FFXI d/cing when it happens, my whole internet d/c's until about 10 seconds after FFXI goes back to POL because I can't go to websites. =/

Once in a while, its worthwhile to call your ISP and tell them yoour connection is acting up, ask them if they can come over and check your 'Signal Strengths'

From your end they can find problems that don't always show up from their end, every time they come over (until I upgraded to T3) I noticed my connection was running a lot faster for quite a while.
