I tried to look around for radeon 8500 driver version to play FFXI and didn't find one about this. I am aware of the minimum requirements of FFXI. I have been playing FFXI with Radeon 8500 with no problems. Later, I just installed the latest driver and didn't work for FFXI. So, I couldn't get previous driver version so I'm basically stuck here.
Anyone has 8500 radeon and has working driver for FFXI. I would like to know what is the version number, and detail information about this. Thank you in advance!

Have you tryed rolling your drivers back, to previous version. Just go to your device manager, click display adapter, right click on your card it should say Radeon 8500. Move down to properties and click it. Then when you in, click the driver tab then click roll back drivers button.
If that doesn't help try this
ATI Knowledge Base
Click the drivers and software tab. Next page go to leftside and click driver and software again, then click windows xp, then radeon, then click on previous drivers.

Well, I installed the drivers two times so I can't do rollback my previous driver. ;_; And I tried the old drivers, it looks like that they don't work too. The FFXI works, but the video is so choppy, and its pixels look like mario bros game including the playonline. I think the playonline doesn't detect the video card somehow. I'm still researching on it XD
EDIT UPDATE: I found that 6.10 - (2.3 Catalyst Driver) works for FFXI. ;_; really, really old drivers. It was in second page of the previous drivers. Thanks for referring the old drivers.
