EQ Movement issueFollow

The problem is whenever I use my up arrow and then try to use left or right simultaneously I come to a dead stop. This has only started happening since I got a new computer. I am running the following:

XP Media Center
ATI x600
2 gig RAM
Microsoft wireless keyboard

I have tried to fix it by doing the following:

Reloading current drivers for graphics card and keyboard
Deleting and restoring keyboard.txt file for EQ
Turning off ATI Console and reloading EQ
Pressing Shift, Ctrl, and Alt keys on both sides while in game

Any other suggestions? I can turn while using auto-run, which is fine most of the time, but in town or in tight situations you can't just use auto-run.
