Hello,
I don't know where else to put this. I took my PS2 apart to clean the lens to see if it would allow me to play games again. It hasn't been able to read disks for a while now. Well I took it apart, cleaned the lens and put it back together. Now it won't even turn on. I don't know what to do. Anyone have any ideas? Im desperate. Please help me. Thank you.

The disc read error is common, and it wasn't because the lens was dirty. You should've asked here before doing what you did, you would've avoided breaking your PS2.

This is the guide I used to fix mine (it's warranty was way past it's due date):

However, I don't know what to tell you about it not turning on, if you pulled out any of those ribbons that connect the power switch to the circuit board, you are going to have a terrible time getting them back in.

I actually took mine completely apart, cleaned everything very carefully, and put it all back together and it works fine. You might check to make sure all the ribbons and wires are connected, there are at least 6 along that side of the PS2.
