I'm trying to help a friend out with a driver. He has a laptop with an Intel video card, one of the older ones that does not support T&L. I recall seeing a workaround/fix for this posted on one of the forums. I have googled it with no success. If anyone has a solution to this problem I would appreciate your help, Thanks!

If the onboard video does not have the hardware to do transform and lighting, you won't be able to play ffxi.
Depending on the laptop, your friend might be able to get a real video card installed on it, otherwise your time is better spent looking for a new computer.
