[Pertains to Orignal EQ and expantions, not EQ2]

I can't get the auto profile updater to work. Every time I try using it (in winEQ, out of winEQ), with every Iteration of the settings avalable (except that I slecet the NIC not the dialup, don't have dial-up) I get a Warrning at the end of "Null character profile" or something like that. When I slect 'profile' from the bar at the top to show the profiles, there is no character or server or anything else listed there. I get the same errors on a second computer as well. I have re-downloaded the setup.exe multiple times reinstalled, uninstalled deleted the folder in 'program files' and reinstalled, etc....no dice. latest download was the afternoon of jan 26th, 2006.

The thing is reading though, a bunch of stuff flashes up on the screen, I recognize the items as what is supose to be on the character. I like the updater, it dumps a list of my character's stuff into HTML files on my disk.

thank you for your time;
Cass

Got a response to this issue from Danalog:

The item updater is broken pending my completion of the user profile, then Rale's hopefully going to be able to get it working again relatively quickly

just look for an update. They should let us know when they have it fixed.

They could have let us know....

I don't know why it would break it on the client end though. I tried the updater without haveing IE logged into alla, that didn't work either.
I was wanting to save the files in html like it gives me a chance to so that people can link to the piece to see it.

I thought they had finished with the character profile updates anyway....

I guess I'll be waiting....
