hello i just got my copy of ToAU and for some reason i cant get it to work.
I go into the installation menu and then a msg pops up and says i havent installed FF11. but i clearly have cos i can get into the world ok? any ideas on what wrong?

I've got exactly the same problem
You could try calling tech support for FFXI, otherwise I would suggest trying to reinstall the game completely (teh suck answer I know

Ive reinstalled it already and still not working. Checked files in PoL and no issues were found. EU Support desk closed til Monday and not able to call US ones from here. ;;
YAY i found out the problem, i spoke to GM and i found out that my version of FF11 was EU version. and the new expansion pack is a US version.
the 2 dont mix so if you have a EU FF11 then you must get EU ToAU vice verser hope this helps anyone that had my problem.
But i would say that is not noticably obvious which is the EU and which is US. I manage to track down a EU version from amazon.com
