Hello all and thanks to anyone that could help me.

Currently i'm living away from home at college. There is a campus network here that i'm connecting through but it's like pulling teeth trying to do anything. All i have in my room is a network socket (that a normal data cable can be jammed into) and no phone socket.

1) is there some sort of way to get a dial up connection without having a phone number?

2) why the fUck won't my msn work :( that ***** in the room next to me got hers working >:(

Cheers.

They can easily limit the amount of bandwidth you use (thus explaining the slowness) and block ports (thus why MSN is probably not working).

Ask her how she got it to work. You might just need to ask them to unblock specific ports to allow MSN traffic through.

I managed to fix both FFXI and MSN by using the http-tunnel program.
