FFXI-3001 error on US Robotics 8001 router.Follow

A friend of mine has bought FFXI and has a problem playing it. The installation and patching went ok. He can log into the game and create/select a character. He can even run around in an area but whenever he wants to go to a new area, the laoding screen appears and after a few min he gets the 3001 error "No response from server". If he logs back in, the game will say that his character is allready logged in and should wait for a few secs. When he finally log in with his character, he's in the new area but the same problem begins again when he exist that area. I looked for the portnumbers and found them, but I need some help configuring his router. I tried the numbers once but the problem was still there.

And I wonder what trigger value I should enter since there's no information to be found anywhere. Can some help me with th is. I'd like for my friend to be able to join me so we can both enjoy FFXI.

edit. Direct linking doesn't seem to work from the forum. Copy paste the img407... (between the quotes) to your browser window an it should work. Works for me now.

My friend mailed the us robotics tech support and received an answer I already figured out. They also said that he needed to put his ip address somewhere. This might be a problem since we both are with the same internetprovider and they assign our ip addresses. Is there any way this can be solved? We really would like to play FFXI together but if this problem stays we both have to look for another online game. >_<
