Little background...

Last night i get a phone call from the wife saying the home PC wont boot up.

When she turns it on, she gets an error from norton goback saying its corrupt, press any key to reboot. wont let me get into safe mode so best bet would be to try and pull all of my pics, music, and whatnot off the drive and reformat.

today, I went out to purchace a SATA to USB adaptor to try and pull off information from a WD2500 Caviar but XP does not recognise the drive. It knows something is there but XP does not have the drivers for it.

Care to shed some light on the situation?

Never mind Kao,

I found an article on Symantec on how to disable Norton GoBack so i can boot normally and uninstall it.
