FFXI -> Win Vista = Compatible?

I was under the impression that Vista would/was not able to run FFXI when it first came out. I have been away from the game and I did not notice if one of the patches fixed this problem. I have read some of the threads in here and I havent really got a confirmation if Vista and FFXI are compatible. Can someone confirm and deny this for me without doubt? I ask because I have recently bought a laptop with Vista on it for my job which I travel a lot for. I would love to play on the road. Thank you for your time.

I found another forum which does confirm the compatiblity of Vista and FFXI, the only thing is that you need to go to the pol website and download the POL Viewer which was created just for vista.

I can 100% confirm that you can run FFXI on windows Vista as I am running vista and have FFXI.

The only really important thing is to get the Vista version of POL, which can be downloaded free from POL site.
