So I keep getting this error code right before the downloading data screen, my comp just sits there and then finally says connection timed out blach blach, I;ve never had a problem connecting for months and all of a sudden this is happening. Ive read that people who have had this problem have just had to turn their firewalls off to fix it. I am running Comcast cable and ive tried just about everything i can think of to no avail. I have tried turning off every firewall, virus protector, pop-up blocker my cpu has, resetting my router, etc with no luck. At my parents house down the street on my old comp with Comcast as well, no problems logging in at all... Any ideas on how I can get ffxi to recognize my connection and not time me out?

Im having exactly this problem atm. but only with characters logged in windy. all other characters i can log in np. a friend used my acc details and moved one char from woods to waters and another from woods to port. I can now access the port char but still no joy on the one in waters :/

Edit got friend to take char in waters to port, then i found i could log in BUT tried to OP to zitah and got same prob, had to log for 30min came back everything was fine so no idea what happened
