FFXI - BSOD after 15 minutes.Follow

Never fails. It's always the same error message

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I did a bit of research (the site's last posting was from 2003), but I found out that it can be basically caused by anything.

The BSOD happens about 15-20 minutes of playing FFXI (all other programs are unaffected).

I first get a POL Error Message -1 "Lost Full Screen". Whenever I try to have POL do anything (Log Out, Sign back in, etc), is when I get the BSOD.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this before I go ahead and start trying stuff or replacing stuff that need not be replaced?

Thanks for the help!

likely RAM issue, if you have 2 sticks of RAM try removing and testing then remove the other.

If it all works fine with 1 stick try setting the other ÈbadÈ one in another slot to say if it dies on you also, if it works fine, that RAM slot is likely dead, if the stick crpas out on you again, the stick is faulty.

If only 1 stick, move it to another slot and test.
