Menu Buttons are unreadableFollow

I just got back into FFXI with my roomate a few days ago, I have a new XPS system through Dell with a 8800 geforce card. I have no problems running the game at any reseloution or anything, the game play graphics are great, just 1 problem. When i press the "-" key to bring up the menu, all the buttons are white and blurry, i cant read what they say, thats the only problem I have, and im getting really annoyed, my roomate has a ****** comp compared to me and has no problems with the game just me.

Anyone have any ideas? I have been tring to figure it out for days and im about to give up, no idea what im not doing.

My graphics card is updated and everything, I have no problem playing Wow, Hellgate London or anything else and FFXI runs beautifully on my PC, just this 1 graphic problem, and Im not sure what to do. please help lol

The Nvidia GEforce 8x series has been known to cause problems while running FFXI.

Apparently, there is a topic on the General Forums about a new driver from NVidia.

Nvidia's driver support for their 8series cards and Final Fantasy for better words bites ***.

You are better off going to 3dguru and using 3rd party drivers as they are actually performing better on Final Fantasy with 8 series cards.

Somewhat funny how a card company who sponsors a game uses drivers that ***** it up so bad.

Thank you so much, the new beta driver that Nvidia released 169.21 fixed my problem, now it works great, im so happy ^_^

This will make the game much more enjoyable for me now that i can read the damn buttons lol.

If anyone else is having the same problem the link to the Nvidia page for the 169.21 driver is here -->http://www.nvidia.com/Download/betadrivers.aspx?lang=en-us

Just input the type of card you have and it will bring the driver up for you ^_^

Thank you again
