I just re-bought the game and went to install and everything went fine up until I went to download the updates. It downloads the new versions' information yet when it goes through the "checking files" part, it keeps disconnecting from the server and I have to reconnect to POL and start all over. Anyone have any ideas?

The game actually "remembers" what files it checked usually and will skim over them faster. So keep trying you will get done eventually.

Also posting the error code you get might help.
