FFXi juddering PLEASE HELP!Follow

Hello everyone,

My computer is the same specs as Vigilantea and it's having exactly the same problem as Vigilantea had before (just that I don't have VPN or speed booster). Does anyone have any thoughts on that? I have tried to connect my computer to the internet directly from my DSL modem to my station using a cable line (mine was wireless before). However the problem still presists, and I really need some help if you have any thoughts please let me know.

Ive been trying to sort this problem out for a long while, and have found noone with the same problem..

Basically as i log into POL it all loads up fine, as soon as i click games>final fantasy.. i can see the news scroll under the list juddering.. by this i mean scrolling along as it should, but pausing for split seconds every second or so. I click play and when i come to the screen before you choose which character, the background video is playing, but again juddering.. pausing for split seconds every second, the mouse juddering with it...
I click select character.. same on that screen, and ingame itself, every third step i take, a split second pause...

As you might of guessed its extremely annoying and prevents enjoyable gameplay though i still seem to get reasonable FPS!

COMP:
Vista 32bit
Intel QuadCore 2.40GHz.
8800GTS 320mb
Nvidia 169.17 Driver (said to be for FFXI)
2GB RAM
500GB HD

Everything else i play seems to play perfectly.. including, BF2, AA, WoW, AoE3, GW, CoD4.. So im lost! I've tried a full uninstall/reinstall...hours of updating! :(

Any help or ideas of the cause would be most helpful!

Turns out VPN or in my case speedbooster can interfere with the game!
