I recently purchased the Orange box for the PC. However it doesnt seem to be working on my laptop. I checked on other computers and its working just fine.

It just cant read the cd. It has 2gb ram, an AMD turion processor 62 x2, 1.6 ghz, ati radeon x1270].

Orange box needs 1.7 ghz, 20gb of space, 512 mb ram, 128 mb [video card]
and an 8 speed cd-DVD player.

Its definately not my laptop or the DVD itself. I used a college campus computer to check if it could detect the CD and no troubles there, the half life icon popped up in my computer. and the computers in my college are..well lets say they lag when you click the windows start button.

I imagine its the DVD-RW reader i have. Iam not sure how to check out its capabilities though.

it seems to be detecting Cd's just fine, havent tested a dvd on it though.

Dell inspiron 1521 by the way.

Install the game on another computer, log into your steam account at home and download it.
