Cutrrently I have quite a problem with my computer. It seems that no games at all work since a few weeks ago. It all began when I was playing WoW. I had been playing for about 1 hour and was just walking around Shatt when it crashed. Fair enough, it crashes. So I logged back on and after 2 minutes it crashes again, and again, and again. I was able to log onto all other charcaters but him. So I tested it and flew another guy into Shatt. Low and behold, now he's crash locked in Shatt too. Ever since then, anytime I attempt to start a game of any description (from WoW to Age of Empires II) the games fail to work. A lot of the error messages I get have something to do with Graphics cards and DirectX and things like that.
Yet here is the wierd part, sometimes they do work. Recently I got on to just have a look at the crash message I got from WoW and beforehand tried to load up Age of Empires III and all of a sudden the game started working. I played for 10 minutes and the game worked fine. I closed it up, turned the computer off then back on and bang, it fails to load up. It's quite random in terms of what works. One time I tried (and failed) to get Age of Empires III running, yet straight after I was able to get Age of Empires II going for a short while. Straight after that I tried to load up WoW, and couldn't even get into the log-in screen. Tried Age of Empires II again and it was back to not working. I've run the repair tool for wow and have uninstalled and reinstalled many games yet still no closer.
I'm no expert what-so-ever when it comes to anything technical but I'd love to know if any of you guys/gals here may have any idea as to what could be the problem. What I'm stumped at is how this problem was prompted. It just came out of the blue without any prompt I can think of. I'm not sure what kind of info you may actually need to help me out here so just tell me what you need and I'll post it in. We have had the computer for about 2.5-3 years.
Even just a pointer in the general direction would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
