I'm tired of the Lakers. It would be nice if an East team won, I think that would make it the first since the Bulls era.

Bastards screwed it up-- they should have been 3-0, heading for a sweep instead of letting the Fakers back into the series.

Doesnt matter. The Pistons are still going to win. Thurday nights game was just too convincing.

It needs to be a 3-2 Lakers come back in seven for ratings. Don't you know anything about NBA marketing?

Smiley: laugh It would have been better marketing to change the rules mid-playoffs and send the Pacers to the west. At least the games would be closer.

88-68? C'mon, thats just lousy basketball by the Lakers and the Pistons had a bad shooting night too.

Pistons should be up 3-0 but I have learned not to argue with Smash about sports well unless I am right. Still waiting for that to happen =P. At this point am predicting same as Smash Lakers in 7 game 4 pistons win, game 5 lakers game 6 lakers game 7 lakers. I hate the lakers they have punked the Suns too many times but I cant help but think that they wont go down. If they do I will celebrate so win-win for me if they win I predicted it if not I hate the SOBs so I still win.

Phx teams are notarious for being a bridesmaid and never the bride (still not sure how we won the world serries) but be that as it may see Detroit going thru phoenix syndrome and being oh so very close but still losing.

God bless you if you win.

Lakers in 7??? I dunno...

Ben Wallace has been guarding Shaq as well as I've seen anyone do in the last 5 years.

What made the Championship Bulls so great wasn't their offense, it was defense. When they turned the defense up a notch, they used to call it "bringing out the dobermans."

And despite all the Kobe hype, Jordan was a far better defender than Kobe.

Okay, went off on a tangent there.

Conclusion: Pistons in 7

The Rapist couldn't even carry Jordan's jockstrap. Bryant is good, sure, but the next MJ? Not a chance.

Why? Because Jordan knew when to dish it off and to whom. The person with the hot hand got the ball in between the times when Jordan wasn't breaking the ankles of whoever was guarding him.

The Rapist, on the other hand, just hogs the ball and keeps shooting even if he's on an off night. There's a vast difference between being able to shoot the ball and score lots of points and someone who makes his teammates better by just being on the floor with them and scores boo-coo with a killer instinct.

MJ was asked a few years ago, before his comeback, which player he thought most resembled him in his game. He said Kobe Bryant. Though I agree that he is not MJ, he's the most comparable, of the players currently in the league. I really dislike Kobe though.

Vince carter is the closest to Jordan. Arrogant, talanted and will never win without a supporting cast of great players with no egos.

If these are your only qualifiers, then you could apply this formula to many of the NBA's current stars.

Sure you cuold, but Carter is the most Jordanesque. Kobe without Shaq is pretty average. Carter and five posters from this forum is a superstar.

Ok Lakers in seven this is why.

Tonight they will even the series 2-2 with an amazing 35 point performace by Stanislav Medvedenko. Pistons will take the next game and head to LA up 3-2. Lakers win a close one to even it to 3-3 with a 25 point blow out lead by Luke Walton. Lakers then blow out the Pistons with Jack Nicholson hoisting the trophy baby!!

Go Lakers!

I want the Pistons to win believe it or not I hate the Lakers but after 30 some odd years as a Phoenix Suns fan I am used to disappointments and try and prepare myself for them.

I hate to be too optomistic but they have a real chance of disrupting basketballs evil empire. Now if only the Sox can tear down the Spankees.
