Okay he really isnt my dog, but I swear I am never dogsitting on a weekend again >.<
Second time... at least he didnt get the full brunt of the oil this time. Last time his eyes puffed up and of course he got into the house before we could stop him so we all stunk like skunk for a week.
::sigh:: I know how to deskunk him, I just needed to gripe hehe.

try bathing the pet in tomato juice.
Seriously, it worked fairly well (it was at least tolerable) when out terrier got skunked.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix, angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machin ery of night.
Yeah I did that ::laughs:: but it just masks the smell... Ironically the best way is hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dish detergant. Chemically speaking it breaks up the skunk oil. The poor dog is not as stinky now, so he gets one more bath later. Problem is he got it in the face and it is hard to wash a dog's muzzle without getting the solution in eyes,nose or mouth.

LOL never heard of someone douching a dog before. But you would be better off with vinager then this method.
The douche worked just fine ^^
A dog breeder recomended it... seems his greyhound got skunked. They used this on him and then the next day he won best of breed ^^
Vinegar is a bit harsh considering I have to deal with the face area.
