yeah i had to change all of my names from what i was using to singdall(something or other) for each box. so i should have laptop, G5, iMAC-intel, and 64 for my boxes, but all start with singdall.

hmm...looking at it again, it may be mine. i thought it was already there when i added my PS3, but i could be wrong. is it pulling from the name of the PS3 or something you entered into F@H settings?

woo, moved into 3rd place with only 1 WU, helps to do the bigger WUs to get more points.

When I get a job my first paycheck is my run to the University Boneyard. Last time I was up there I saw a few DecAlphas If they are still there I will pick them up and install it on them. 100% work load.

I believe you hit Triangle to get the menu, then go to Identity I think. There's a setting there where you can change the name and the default value is PS3.

Yay! I am setting up the GPU client (I have a Radeon 1900XTX), and will see if I can run the SMP client with it simultaneously on my gaming computer. I'm also running the standard one on the other (relatively crappy) household computer, and will see if I can slip it on to my mom's MacBook Pro.

Weird, using the GPU client it seems unable to acquire a work packet, no idea why. Guess I'll be sticking to the standard one, at least for now.

servers could be busy. but best to follow the HOWTO guide here:

http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-ATI.html

that is for the GPU client. have to have right drivers, etc... for everything to work properly.

I've been folding for a day now and it still doesn't show me on the team list. It says I am a part of it on my side though....

What does the projected completion date say? (WU END DATE)

Aye, I tried it without the proper drivers and whatnot, at which point it wouldn't even start properly. Smiley: tongue It's acting more like a connection issue.

bummer.

as to the other poster asking why they are not on the list and how to make it go faster.

1. you must complete a WU to get on the list so it would seem.
2. make it go faster with a more powerful computer.
3. disable EVERYTHING on your computer other then folding and explorer and let it run 24/7

if you have a dual core system, make sure to grab the SMP vs.but do keep in mind that it is still in beta so will be buggy, and it also has larger WUs.

4. more RAM as it seems to use a lot of ram when it is there for the using.

What percentage is being allowed for Folding Sora? You can throttle it up and down using the GUI.
#124 Aug 29 2007 at 12:22 PM Rating: Decent
good lord Tentengo must have one h311 of a rig to already completed 4 WUs. keep it up, what kind of rig are you using?

also are you able to run more then 1 computer with the same user name without ******** things up?

looks like i'm not "PS3" afterall, though i'm surprised i don't have any WU's done. i guess i didn't get credit for the one that it was already working on and now that i'm probably working on a new one i get popped into the list.

it should of. it gave me credit on the unit i was already working on. i was at about 60% when i switched to the allakhazam team from team 0, the default team.
