Yeah, as soon as I get them hosted somewhere. Little tired. Got the financing to finally go through about 8 hours before the 7 day deadline, today there was an assessment and a house inspection. It's been a crazy busy day.

All of my "spare" money has gone towards down payment saving or debt repayment for years. At least now it'll go toward something I own.

All of that was factored in as extra cash when you made the decision of whether or not you can afford the house, right?

Renting means mobility. Mobility is important. I couldn't stand being in a place for too long.

To each their own. I love owning my house and knowing this is mine. Of course I am olde.... Olde people like that kind of thing. Get off my yard!

Yeah, I'll probably settle down when I've got a permanent job and stuff. Which isn't gonna happen in the next decade, anyway, so I'm not too worried about it now.
Generally I hope (and would prefer) to be able to spend at least 4 months a year overseas even if I have my own place, that's why I am studying my butt off, really.

My mortgage and property tax come in $100 less than my current rent, which I was paying while saving twice my rent per month. $100 covers my house insurance and life insurance so the kids aren't homeless if I DIAF. I can afford the house, twice, and still have repair and maintenance money.
