Any of the cooking gifted folk out there know how/if I can make a chicken soup if all I have is frozen de-boned breast and thigh meat, and a bag of egg noodles? I have a little bit of seasonings (garlic powder, rosemary, onion powder, salt/pepper), but no vegetables. I do have some bouillon cubes.

The only way I've ever seen it made was boiling boned chicken to get a good stock. I fear without the boiled bones, the flavor won't be there, and it will all be for nothing.

I'm feeling terrible this weekend and really don't want to go shopping.

Why don't you just eat the chicken roasted with the noodles as a side?

Because that's not chicken noodle soup... that's just... roasted chicken with noodles on the side...

My brain is boiling and even I know that.

Fine be that way.Smiley: oyvey

Cut the chicken up into cubes or strips and partially fry them with a medium heat. Once you have enough starter juice start adding small amounts of water until you have the amount of broth your want.

You forgot to add the butter.

Some foods create enough oil they don't have to have anything used when frying.
Like hamburger.

When I was a kid, my aunt lived with us. Her first attempt at making tacos, she put a bunch of oil in the pan before frying the burger.

She also tried boiling corn on the cob, and kept boiling it, and boiling it, and she said it wouldn't get soft... it just got harder and harder.
She boiled it for close to an hour.

And she was boiling eggs one day, and left the pot unattended long enough for all the water to boil away.

Her corn was obviously defective and she should have brought it back to the store for a refund. As for the eggs, she's lucky that they didn't get to the point when they turn into little poultry frag grenades in the pot.

Oh, they did reach that point. I just didn't include it in the short story.

A helicopter accident could take care of the rooster.

If you're going to do it this way, you need a deep frying/sautee pan. You'll need to add more than just the water for broth, because you'll want to cook the noodles in it after the chicken is mostly cooked. Season the chicken while it's cooking, with pretty much everything you have, except go light on the salt if you end up using the bouillon to taste. Frying the chicken is a good idea to get more flavor/grease/charry bits to the water. Still, I think with just chicken breasts, which are low in fat, you might need to add some bouillon. I used to make chicken noodle soup this way, but I'd use one part chicken broth with one part water to cook the noodles in.

They keep it inside a chicken coop otherwise I totally would. I think the carbon fiber blades on the hornet would be able to do the job. But metal wire lathe is a bit much.

If it's enclosed in a chicken coop, perhaps a bit of hose and some carbon dioxide is all you need.

You can use the helicopter to run the hose. Smiley: grin

When I was in a homeless shelter, we tried to have eggs on Sunday. Two hours later, someone noticed the eggs were still on the hob.

But those people also put dirty dishes into the fridge...
