Today, my day has been mostly consistent of teaching my dad to internets. The last time he had any sort of web browsing capabilities, AOL had first come out. We made an e-mail account for him, I let him log onto my Facebook and talk to his sister for awhile, he discovered the miracle that is Google, and I even got him using Firefox! Getting on the internet seems so every day for me, it was like looking at it through new eyes watching him experience it for the first time.

I didn't get into school this semester. I thought my transcripts from my previous college had been sent to the college I was applying to. I requested that they be sent months ago and found out the day before registration that they had not. I called to ask why and evidently I had an outstanding balance of $200-something and there was a hold on my account. They couldn't send them until the balance had been paid. All the times I had gone up to the school to fill out miscellaneous paperwork or take test or do new student orientation, they hadn't mentioned they did not get my transcripts. They wouldn't let me go ahead and register without all of my previous educational information. I cried...

I have my good days and my bad days. The bad days are beginning to be fewer and fewer. I have started keeping a journal so maybe I will quit posting my life's story on here!

That sucks! I owe my University a chunk of change from last year that I need to pay by the 19th of September otherwise I can't re-enrol for the coming year. Kind of suck as I have no real way of getting the amount I need. My summer was going really well, too.

Ouch.

I (and the person in front of me coincidentally) had the exact same problem. My transcript hadn't been sent because I had a $5 parking ticket I never paid. I called my old college and gave them my credit info and stayed on hold until I was sure the transcript had been e-scripted to my new college. It took 4 hours of being on hold in a sweltering parking lot, but I'm enrolled!

So are you not going to school this semester because of it?

There is no way I can come up with the money they need even if I did late registration, so no. I am going to pay everything off this semester and get everything in order to enroll next semester.

2. Register for courses.
3. ???
4. Profit!

Submit Monday morning and you should have everything settled by the end of the week I you get a virtual acctount set up. This means you should be all set for a sept start deadline, and a couple grand in over the year shouldn't overburden you, especially since you're getting it interest free. If you get % cashback on it you'll actually essentially pay negative interest.

What TLW is trying to say is you should sell yourself to the night.

You'll be in school and have a story for the grandkids! Win/win.
