So I've been named one of two groomsmen for a friend (with the other being the best man), and I'd appreciate all the help I can get in making sure everything goes as well as possible. I'm going to be asking family, friends, and wikipedia for help as well, but like I said every source is helpful and I do value your inputs.
The wedding is at the end of October. I've already asked the groom for a list of specific details that the bride has planned which are atypical for a wedding (for example she wants us to wear ties she has picked out), so hopefully I'll have that and all I need to is best understand the general duties of a groomsman. The bachelor party is already in the works with the bestman, but I think a lot of the details are still fuzzy. I guessing it would be best to rent a hotel room and host the party there, as neither of our residences are adequate.
I'd appreciate any experiences or tips you would have to share. If you've ever been part of wedding coordination what didn't you expect that you should have? What are some great do's and do not do's?
