For those not in the know, April 2010 Kyube Make-A-Wish Foundation granted a child's wish to be a superhero, not to be confused with being an hero. He, along with his side-kick Lightning Lad, went on to save the Seattle Sounders, rescue a Puget Sound Energy technician and several people trapped on the Space Needle, went on to defeat Dr. Dark and Blackout Boy. He died last Friday. Too bad his story wasn't written by DC or Marvel, then he'd be back next year.
Just a clip, the whole "Electron Boy - The Movie" is in the suggested area, and well worth watching all four parts.

That would have been more moving if I thought the kid understood what was going on. Instead, he looked more shellshocked and the whole thing came across as patronizing.
I assume he knew what was going on, considering 1. this was his wish 2. he helped design the costume and chose his superhero name for himself and 3. one of his "constellation of health issues" also affected his speech, making him sound less lucid than he actually was at the time.
I think the cutest thing was how they managed to get the "mask" to fit around his glasses.

Looks like a great cause. I donate to Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto every month, I'm trying to keep the kids out of your amusement park, but in the event that I fail, I'm glad your park is around to take some of their burden away.
Yea, I've always been more of a keep them from getting there person as well. That was until I had the privilege of visiting the site and now I push for it.
