The best thing about October.

On topic, I stopped caring when the Yankees lost (Suck it, A-Rod). But I guess if I'd have to pick, I'd ho Rangers since they're currently the under dogs, American League, & have Josh Hamilton, Beltre, & Ian Kinsler who were pretty mint on my Fantasy Baseball team this year.

I had Beltre and Cruz, needless to say I won my World Series.

Good to see that hasn't changed. Also, interestingly enough, the Cardinals did go with Carp in games 1 and 5 like I said they would, but by the grace of rain, they're still going to get to use him in game 7 like Ugly suggested. It's not hard to say everything has aligned perfectly for St. Louis to take home the trophy tonight. We'll have to watch and see if they can ride the wave all the way to the championship.

It was a great series to be sure. Once the Cards won game 6 I knew they would win game 7. Like Ugly said, the rain saved LaRussa from his bonehead decision. Does St. Louis have a weather machine or something? Honestly though, Ron Washington managed his team to this loss. He should've saved Holland to start game 7 instead of using him in relief in a losing effort in game 6. Holland pitched awesome in game 4.

Nobody but the Cardinals (not even me) expected them to come back from a 7-4 deficit twice to win that game. He was playing for the win, and I can't really agree that it was a bad decision. Hindsight is 20/20, but I seriously doubt he expected STL to force a game seven. Who could have?

Meh, I've never been a big fan of using starters in relief roles unless it's game 7. After what Holland did to the Cards in game 4, he should've saved him. As far as not expecting the Cardinals to force a game 7, you really need to plan for any eventuality.
