I remember building one of these that took up Mom's kitchen and they kept going.

Wow, it only took them how many freaking years to fix the corners so the car didn't go flying off the track at every turn.

the link doesn't work (or it didn't for me)...is it the plastic race card track that goes ALL over the house, then outside, and back in? That was pretty cool.

The Hot Wheels flex tracks were great for parents. Nothing was quicker to grab to spank one's bottom in a pinch.

I wasn't a big Hot Wheels fan, thought they were cheaply made.

Original Matchbox (made in England) cars were the "Top Shelf" cars to have. Lasted forever too.

I agree.
Matchbox were "top shelf" because that's where they stayed. Hot Wheels, on the other hand were smashed into things and repainted twenty times.Smiley: grin

Maybe in your day, missy! When I was a little boy, girls wouldn't touch a toy car on account of the cooties epidemic.
