Jeez, how did I miss this. Gratz Fish. I too am an ovo/lacto vegetarian. I will advise you that Amy's brand frozen foods are quite yummy if you can find them. Also Morningstar Farms has great veggie-burgers. If you like tacos or chili, you can get their "crumbles" to use in place of ground beef. I'm eating some great meatless chili as I write this.
Try eating a salad with every meal, and you will thus eat less of the fattier stuffs (just don't douse it too much with dressing.)
Also avoid the trap I seem to have fallen into at times. Junk food might not have meat in it, but being a junkatarian is just as bad as too much meat.
I was not a vegetarian in college, but see the aforementioned frozen meals if your college cafeteria has a microwave.
