I want to buy my brother a FigurePrint statue for his surprise birthday gift. I'm sure this FAQ was staring me in the face but I never saw it. I'm guessing there's no trick to doing this except making sure he is wearing his good gear.
Anyone else done this for someone?

You can select different armor sets. But if you want him to be in some kind of unique gear (or a non-matching set), you'll need to log out in it. But you can get your character in any of the standard tier sets, choose whether or not to show tabard/helm/cloak, held/sheathed weapons.
But note that, as far as I know, you can ONLY use the weapon/tabard/cloak that you log out in. You might try emailing them to ask if you can just manually choose those, so that your brother doesn't need to worry.
Also note that the normal estimate for delivery is a month. And this is xmas time, so you won't be ablt to get it to him until mid-January at the earliest.
