So as life moves on. I've worked my way out of my past financial issues and things are looking up. Since last June when my chapter 7 bankruptcy went through I've lost the last of my past investments and started anew. I do feel the hurt of loosing close to 40k of my hard savings and land investments. But, I also lost the biggest boat anchor in my life. My common-law husband. I feel free and suddenly I have money to spend upon myself again. Things came that I so needed. New computer (Thanks for the help Kaolain) New monitor, new TV, and being able to eat out again. This past month I rebuilt my poor broken 5.1 surround sound system and had gotten a nice TV stand to hold it all. I've invested in my Vega to get it up and going. Now the next step is in the works. I've tolerated living in a beat up old trailer for more time than I wanted to. The only benefit was the dirt cheap rent. Of course the landlords never fixed anything. It was cold or hot depending upon the weather. I managed and worked hard on improving my living conditions. My Co-worker builds homes as a hobby and has a few rental homes. His plan was to have several as income when he retires from work. I've become good friends with him over the past three years and he is going to let me rent his first new rental home. It will double my rent but it's closer to work. On paved roads and in a nice quiet area of town. The home will be small (Approximately 1200sqft.) But its only me and my cats so it will be no issue. Later we plan to build a 2 car garage behind the home. I'm looking forward to improving my housing situation. It's one of the reasons I've been buying things like a TV and stuff for it. Now I'm looking at a new bedroom set for the home. Also a living room set. I lost most of that with my past couple of moves. I've shopped Rooms to GO and there are some nice sets in the one thousand to fifteen hundred range.
Here they are pouring the slab for the house.
One of the things we did discuss was wiring the home for Surround sound in three of the rooms. Living, Master Bedroom and Office. I'm purchasing the Polk ceiling and wall speakers for the living room on Feb 1st. In the other rooms they will be wired with outlets to plug into Instead of wall mounted speakers. Since I actually have several 5.1 AV receivers it should be no issue as is the speakers and sub-woofer for the living room and bedroom. I had another friend give me a High end Yamaha receiver and an Infinity center speaker and sub-woofer. He's pretty well off and he was just getting rid of extra stuff he had lying around.
This is the bedroom set I'm looking at getting.

My friend might provide me with some furniture also. I'll have to see what hes giving me so I can try to match it.
